One of the most versatile and popular cords available, our 1100 Paracord features
This cord is manufactured with a 32 strand braided sheath (skin) to give it a smooth texture with good abrasion resistance. It has 16 precisely twisted strands give the cord its ideal shape, strength and versatility. In traditional military and survival applications, these core strands can be pulled out and used as fishing line or sewing thread. The leftover coreless paracord remains useful as a general purpose cord for securing shelter, tying gear, replacement boot laces or a myriad of other application. For these reasons paracord is often braided into survival bracelets, belts or lanyards that could be dismantled and used in emergency situations. Paracord is most popular today for whipmaking and decorative knotting.
