Cancord has a long history of manufacturing products to different military specifications. As a result we have the opportunity to work with many different military personnel across the country. This ongoing contact has kept us keenly aware of their commitment to, and sacrifice for, our country. Late last year, we became aware of an organization called Wounded Warriors. Founded in 2006, Wounded Warriors Canada is a non-profit organization that helps Canadian Forces members – both full-time and reservists – who have been wounded or injured in their service to Canada. Through a wide range of programs and services, they help find solutions where gaps have left our soldiers in need. They have a strong focus on mental health and the staggering impact of PTSD. We were so impressed by this organization that in 2013 we launched a program to help fund Wounded Warriors, by donating a portion of our military cord sales to their organization. We are pleased to say that to date we have raised over $1,800. We wanted to take a moment to thank our military customers, and most importantly to thank the men and women who give so freely of themselves for our country.
